The Whalehead Club will close at 4pm on Tuesday January 31st. The last tour will begin at 3pm. We will re-open on Wednesday at 9am.

Join us Thursday June 7 at 6:00pm for an evening with the US Air Force Rythem In Blue Jazz Ensemble. Come give a salute to our brothers and sisters who make up the protecting forces of our great nation. Enjoy great jazz tunes while watching the spectacular Corolla sunset! This event if FREE and open to the public. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to spread out on the front lawn at the Whalehead Club. This is a family fun event and pets on leashes are welcome (per Currituck County law).

Every Thursday evening from 6:30 PM to sunset - July and August

Relax on the south lawn at Currituck Heritage Park and enjoy local musicians performing on the historic Whalehead Club front porch. Bring a beach chair or blanket and watch the sun set over the Currituck Sound while supporting the musical arts! No alcohol permitted to be brought into the park. Wine and snack concessions available. Leashed pets welcome. Admission and Parking are free.

Calling All Artists!

Once again it's the time of year when we start calling for artist submissions for the Under the Oaks Arts Festival in June. Now in it's 11th year, the show is a 2-day event, with over 100 quality artists working in all mediums. All entries will be juried, and notifications will be sent once all entried have been considered. Deadline for submission is April 15th, 2012. To apply for entry into this year's show, please download, print and fill out the entry form, and include it with your original sample. Follow the instructions included in the submission form. 6th Annual Holiday Illumination & Sale

Gather on the north lawn to enjoy free hot chocolate and sing carols while the giant cedar tree in Currituck Heritage Park and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse are simultaneously illuminated. The Whalehead Club will open for holiday tours from 3pm - 5pm to show off the museum festively decorated as in the 1920s.

Select unique gifts with the message of preserving the heritage of the Outer Banks and Corolla. The Whalehead Club's copper collection is discounted only once a year - and this is it! Admission and parking are free. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed (per CurrituckCounty law).
