Easter EGG-stravaganza

Join us from 1 PM - 3 PM in Corolla...Join the Easter Bunny for a traditional egg hunt in Currituck Heritage Park.  Lots of fun children's activities like Balloon Art, Face Painting, Egg & Spoon Races, Bean Bag Toss, and a Jellybean Counting Contest!  Snacks and refreshments available for purchase. Admission and Parking are free. This is a family fun event and is sponsored by Brindley Beach Vacations.

Fun Fly Festival

Watch and learn how to fly all kinds of kites, sponsored by Flying Smiles Kites!  Treat the whole family to a fun day in the park capturing the imagination and harnessing the power of Mother Nature!  Children enjoy making paper kites to keep or bring your own to play with.  Admission and Parking are free.

Corolla Pedal-Foot-Paddle Triathlon

8 AM - 1 PM

Join us for OBX's unique triathlon. The Corolla Pedal-Foot-Paddle starts in Currituck Heritage Park with a 7-mile scenic cycle through Corolla followed by a 2-mile run on the beach, wrapping up with a 1-mile kayak paddle on the Currituck Sound. Come and participate individually or as a team! 

We are excited to have the 2012 Corolla Pedal-Foot-Paddle to be held on Saturday, April 14. The distances will remain the same, but the kayaking will be a straight out and back trip from the boat launch.

Beach Music Festival

Gather up the family and join us in Corolla for a day of great beach music! We'll have the top performing beach music bands in the country right here in Corolla - The Holiday Band, The Craig Woolard Band, and the Band of Oz! Discounted tickets will be available until April 30, 2012 (1 ticket for $15, or purchase 10 tickets for $100). May 1st and after the tickets will be sold at the regular price of $20 each. Picnics and 5 quart coolers (large enough to fit a 6 pack of sodas) are encouraged (limit of one free cooler per person). Larger coolers will be allowed for an additional $10 fee. No alcohol will be permitted to be brought into the park, however beer will be on tap from Coastal Beverage. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase, including BBQ and more from High Cotton!

USAF Rythem In Blue Jazz Ensemble

Join us Thursday June 7 at 6:00pm for an evening with the US Air Force Rythem In Blue Jazz Ensemble. Come give a salute to our brothers and sisters who make up the protecting forces of our great nation. Enjoy great jazz tunes while watching the spectacular Corolla sunset! This event if FREE and open to the public. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to spread out on the front lawn at the Whalehead Club. This is a family fun event and pets on leashes are welcome (per Currituck County law).

This festival features the unique talents of over 100 quality artists with a wide variety of media plus musical entertainment, local food concessions, art auction, and children's activities. Admission is free! $5 parking donation requested. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed (per Currituck County law).

Whalehead Club Wednesday Wine Festival Kick Off!

Join us from 3 PM - 7 PM for the 2012 Whalehead Club Wednesday Wine Festival KICK OFF! Enjoy a Wednesday afternoon of wine tasting and entertainment under the tents on the north lawn of the Whalehead Club.  Local vendors will be on-site to introduce you to a variety of international and North Carolina wines. With a $20 adult admission you receive a discounted coupon for the Whalehead Club Museum Tour (audio tour), and a souvenir Whalehead Club wine glass to sample all the wines available at the festival. Bring the whole family to enjoy local musical entertainment, and spend the day at the park! Local delicacies and snacks, as well as non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase separate from your admission ticket.
