Education
The Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education is located inside Currituck Heritage Park on RT. 12 N. just past MP 11 in Corolla. The building is between the Currituck Beach Lighthouse and the historic Whalehead Club.
It houses over 250 decoys, an exhibit gallery, an 8,400 gallon aquarium and a gift shop. An short feature film, "Life by Water's Rhythms" provides insight into the unique heritage of the Northern Outer Banks.
Classes offered include Birding, Kayaking, Decoy Carving, Fishing, Nature Photography.
Admission is free and educational programs are offered for all ages.
Learn to fish, explore Currituck Sound by kayak, carve your own duck decoy, and discover the wonders of local animals and plants.
